As you may recall, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) was officially rolled out on July 1, 2023, marking a significant shift in analytics tracking capabilities. With this transition, Google Analytics 3 (GA3), also known as Universal Analytics, ceased collecting new data. However, users retained access to historical data via the GA3 dashboard.

Now, we want to bring your attention to an important update: Google has announced the complete removal of the GA3 dashboard on July 1, 2024. This means any data older than July 1, 2023, will no longer be accessible after this date.

Most GA users only compare data month-to-month or last month to that same month a year ago.  In most cases, people don’t need data beyond a year. But that’s up to you.

Should you choose to retain access to your historical data beyond July 1, 2024, you need to export all of your GA3 data from the GA3 dashboard before June 30, 2024.  Google offers more detail and a means of backing up your data here.  Of course, we are here to assist or take care of this for you, if you wish.
